Dry contact expansion unit for your securityProbe 5E
The E-Opto 16 expansion module has been designed to enhance the capabilities of the securityProbe 5E. With 16 opto-isolated dry contacts a wide variety of equipment can be monitored. A typical application would be to connect the outputs of an alarm panel to each dry contact and then utilize the notification functiohttp://www.akcp.com/wp-admin/themes.phpn of the securityProbe 5E to alert you on a change in status.
The expansion module connects using standard CAT5 Ethernet cable linked to any one of the 4 expansion ports on the front of the securityProbe 5E base unit. Alternatively it can be daisy chained together with other expansion modules, including the E-sensor8, using the E-in and E-out ports on the front of the expansion module.

The distance from the securityProbe 5E unit to the E-Opto 16 can be up to a maximum of 1,000ft (300 meters). There is no limit to how many expansion modules can be connected in multiple 300 meter lengths. The only limitation is that a maximum of 600 sensors can be monitored by the securityProbe 5E.
